About

Rabbi Aya Baron (she/her) is a scholar, educator, and ritualist offering educational consultation, life-cycle ritual, Torah learning and spiritual mentorship. Ordained by the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, she has served congregations as scholar-in-residence, consultant and student rabbi. She has a passion for earth-based Judaism and has co-authored earth-based practice guides with Shamir Collective, and served as a program director at Wilderness Torah. Additionally, she participated in the Wexner Graduate Fellowship. Her most recent publication is Expanding the Field: A DIY Rosh Hashanah Companion (Ayin Press, 2025), for which she is a coauthor. She holds a B.A. in Contemplative Education from Brown University and an M.A. in Jewish Studies from the Graduate Theological Union. Aya lives in Philadelphia on Lenni-Lenape land, where she delights in family life, gardening, and watching the sunset from her roof.
